This Rally isn't as big as the first one I attended in 2014 in Phoenix before I bought my rig. I didn't realize that one was larger than most, never having attended one before, but this is my 4th and they are pretty similar in speakers and vendors.
The weather has been good .... 90 degrees and humid, with occasional thunderstorms to cool it off a little. I am missing using that second A/C unit!
There are over 1600 rigs here, so maybe 2500 people? Deb climbed onto the roof and took a couple of pictures (she likes it up there) ...
Here is a typical day at the rally:
Coffee and donuts at sunrise.
7:30 - 8:30am is Introduction to line dance (in case you need to get some exercise)
All day starting at 8:30am there are information sessions/classes/workshops/quilting, etc. run all day, and of course, the Marketplace, for everything you didn't know you needed, is open all day. They are also selling rigs, if you want a change of pace. I had my tow bar serviced and had custom wheel covers installed (which I had planned to do at this rally).
There are various Happy Hours starting at 4:30pm you can attend with your BOF (Birds of a Feather group). I happen to belong to 3 BOFs and was invited to 3 additional Happy Hours (one was for Florida so I could meet some of the Escapees I will be with next winter), so I was booked solid and had 2 or 3 every day I could attend. Entertainment and give-a ways start at 7pm. Games follow the entertainment for anyone still in need of recreation. Sitting out in the late evening talking to fellow RVers and checking out each others rigs has been fun as well. We have a "retired" astronomy professor in the group, so he has been teaching us about the night sky and the solar eclipse that is coming in 2017.
