Again the rain ..
A bore tide is is a tidal phenomenon in which the leading edge of the incoming tide forms a wave (or waves) that travel up a river or narrow bay . The bore in Turnagain Arm can be several feet high around the full and new moons. It is the second highest change in tide known (the first being the Bay of Fundy, which I saw year before last).
It was sort of strange being back in Anchorage. I so seldom "return" to a place I have already seen ....
