I also did the Kenai River Quilt Tour around town. You stop at 19 local businesses to view a quilt at each, get a stamp that you were there and then turn in your card to the Visitor's Center for a drawing at the end of the month. Of course, it would be nice if you purchased something at each of the locations, but I only got a couple of small things. Wonder what I'll win? ha.
I made my second (and third) drive to UPS in Kenai for a package. This time it was a lens for the camera on my phone. Hopefully, it will help me get better closeup shots of the wildlife.
I was reviewing "the list" and I think I am only missing a wolf and a whale and a puffin. I'm going to do the Kenai Peninsula cruise out of Seward, so hopefully, I will complete the list there. And then heading for Moose Pass and then onto Chicken! via Anchorage for a couple of days.
Can you see those white spots in the pictures? It was hard to capture them. It looks like snow, right? It is from the cottonwood trees .... like little bits of cotton blowing all around, and there is LOTS of it. Can you spell a-l-l-e-r-g-i-e-s? But I am loving all the flowers; they are everwhere, wild and planted in baskets and tubs. Fabulous.
Tomorrow I "break" camp and hit the road again. I feel like I've been here a long time (which I have). I think it got up to 80 degrees today .... way too hot for Alaska!
