Hershey and Harrisburg, PA

I took a trolley tour of the town with narration about the history of the town and, of course, Mr. Hershey.  It was really interesting .... and they passed out samples .... a hug, a kiss, a cup and a caramel (Hershey sold his caramel company to start making chocolate)... with a full size chocolate bar at the end.

Pennsylvania State Capital Building - This American Renaissance-style capitol was completed in 1906 and dedicated by President Theodore Roosevelt. Its $13 million design featured Greek, Roman, and Victorian influences, as well as a 272-foot dome.
The fountain water was pink in honor of Breast Cancer week
The Hawk - Located on the campus of Harrisburg Area Community College, this detailed hawk was carved from an oak tree that was at least 135 years old. The hawk is depicted resting on a tree stump. The carving was donated by alumni in 2010.

Rockville Bridge - Built between 1900 and 1902, this multi span stone-arch railroad bridge measures more than 3,000 feet long. At the time of its construction, it was the longest bridge of its kind in the world.
