Back in Shoemakersville, PA

Drove in yesterday, for what I hope is, until tomorrow. I just checked on the status of my coach repair and they don't think they can get it all done before 4:30pm. If not, I hope they can finish tomorrow and that I don't have to come back again.

The temperature has definitely cooled down.  It was 47 when I got up this morning and hasn't reached 60 yet today.  Although the sun is shinning bright, there is a cold wind that makes it feel cold.  I am seeing some tree color starting to begin ...

As I leave here I'm heading down to Virginia and North Carolina .... I hope I miss all the flooding and traffic from the hurricane.

When I was driving around Lancaster County, seeing the wash hanging on the lines at the farms, I started thinking about the old tea towel design showing the day of the week and the chore for that day.  Apparently Wednesday is wash day among the Amish.

I had some over-ripe bananas that needed to go so I made some muffins using a recipe that was quick and with a minimum of ingredients and prep .... definitely not as good as my usual recipe.  The extra work is worth the result I think.  I did manage to burn my hand on the second pan ....
