This is a beach at Island Beach by the State Park (which closed as I arrived). The houses along the shore are mansions; they would put Newport to shame. Even the "regular" houses are new construction. I wonder if that is due to Hurricane Sandy.
I also drove part of the Coastal Heritage Trail to see some of the historical sections of the area.

This state is crazy with the roads and intersections .... I spent as much time trying to get where I wanted to go and having to go back and try it again as I did looking around. I thought this sign showed my confusion.

| John Dobbins' house is hard to furnish because it doesn't have corners, and it has a spiral staircase in the middle of it. Designed in 1947 to be the shape of a cookie jar, its the only house of its kind in the country. |
